ABOUT
FUR UPCYCLING is the process of giving existing fur garments a new form and function. We preserve the value of the material by reimagining it through a contemporary silhouette.
Unlike faux fur, which wears out quickly and relies on plastic-based materials that contribute to environmental impact, natural vintage fur can last for decades. Reusing existing fur reduces the need to produce new materials and significantly lowers its environmental footprint.
We carefully select the fur for each order. Every piece undergoes expert assessment, specialised cleaning, and restoration before being transformed into a new garment.
YOUR FUR, REIMAGINED
We work with both our clients’ own fur and materials from our collection. When you provide your own garment, we carefully assess the condition, structure, and potential of the fur, then suggest a shape, silhouette, and options for a contemporary redesign.
Throughout the process, we preserve the character of the material and respect the personal story behind it, transforming the piece into something new, relevant, and made to be worn again.
VINTAGE FUR BY THE CABINET
We also work with vintage natural fur carefully selected by The Cabinett team from trusted and ethical sources. This approach allows us to have full control over the quality of the material, choose the desired colour and texture, and create each piece from scratch according to your preferences — from the initial idea to the finished result.
